Registration System Transition

New Registration System Coming Winter 2027

We’re excited to announce that Perinton Recreation & Parks will be launching a new recreation management and online registration system beginning with Winter 2027 program registration.

After an extensive review process, the department selected ActiveNet as our new software provider. The transition represents a significant investment in improving how residents register for programs, manage memberships, reserve facilities, and access recreation services.

Our goal is simple: to provide a more modern, convenient, and user-friendly experience for the Perinton community.

Why Are We Making This Change?

For more than 25 years, Perinton Recreation & Parks has utilized Vermont Systems’ RecTrac, WebTrac, and PayTrac software platforms for program registration, facility rentals, membership management, and payment processing.

While the current system has served our department well for many years, both residents and staff have experienced challenges that led us to explore alternative solutions, including:

  • An online registration experience that can be difficult for users to navigate
  • Software complexity that makes system updates and modifications challenging
  • Limited mobile functionality
  • Ongoing customer support concerns
  • Rising costs associated with future cloud migration requirements

As recreation technology continues to evolve, we felt it was the right time to evaluate whether there was a better solution available for our community.

  • 2025-2026 Participate in demonstrations, conduct testing, and gather customer feedback. COMPLETE

What Is Changing?

ActiveNet will replace the current WebTrac registration platform and related recreation management software used by the department. The new system will continue to provide all the services residents currently use, including:

  • Program Registration: Register for recreation programs, camps, classes, and special events.
  • Facility Reservations: Reserve community center rooms, park facilities, and other rentable spaces.
  • Membership & Pass Management: Manage fitness, aquatic, and recreation memberships and passes.
  • Online Payments: Secure online payment processing for programs, memberships, and rentals.
  • Point-of-Sale Transactions: Support for admissions, memberships, and other in-person purchases.
