Appointments Now Open for September 20, 2025

Perinton Town Clerk Janelle Reed announced the Town of Perinton will host a free drive-thru shredding and electronics recycling event for residents on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Department of Public Works, 100 Cobb’s Lane. Appointments can be scheduled online.
“I often hear from residents about the importance of having a secure way to dispose of sensitive documents,” said Reed. “By offering this free event, we’re making it easier for residents to safely shred confidential paperwork right here in our community. We’re also excited to partner with Perinton DPW to add free electronics recycling this year.”
Shred-Text, a certified and licensed document destruction company, will be on-site to shred documents on location. Each vehicle may bring up to 4–5 boxes of paper; staples and paperclips do not need to be removed. A local company, E-Waste+, will handle electronics recycling. Computers, TVs, printers, phones, and other electronics will be accepted free of charge.
