Town of Perinton & Monroe County Rabies Clinic

Our Free Rabies Immunization will return on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Appointments are full. The event will return in 2027. Also check Monroe County’s Free Immunization Clinic schedule here.
Special thanks to Perinton Animal Control, Fairport Animal Hospital and Monroe County for their coordination of this event each year.
Both dogs and cats can be immunized at the clinic, but must be at least three months old. Those attending the clinic should plan to arrive at their scheduled time and remain in their vehicle until asked to exit with the animal. Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in a sturdy pet carrier upon arrival. A copy of a prior rabies vaccination record is required to receive a 3-year rabies vaccination. Without records, a one-year initial vaccination will be provided. All shots are provided at no charge. Read more about the event and its requirements here.
At the 2025 event, 217 dogs and cats were vaccinated, and 26 Town of Perinton and Village of Fairport dog owners renewed or applied for a dog license, as required by New York State Law.
