The 2021 Comprehensive Plan is the official guide for the Town’s planning efforts and decision-making over the next decade. The plan outlines our community vision, defines clear and actionable goals, and recommends specific projects to shape Perinton’s future in a way that enhances the physical, social, and economic character of the community for all residents, visitors, and businesses.
Perinton has updated its Comprehensive Plan every decade since 1959. The 2021 update considers evolving trends in the Town over the last 10 years and develop strategies to set the direction of the community’s growth and development into 2031.
Residents attended two Comprehensive Plan Open House Meetings to share thoughts on the Town’s draft future land use plan, vision, and guiding policies. More than 1,000 residents participated in our community-wide survey. A public hearing was held in April 2022, and in May, the Town Board unanimously adopted the 2021 Comprehensive Plan Update.
