Town Hall & Perinton Community Center Entrance Improvement Project

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of May 18, 2026, on improvements to the front entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, lighting, and landscaping around Perinton Town Hall and the Perinton Community Center.

The project is part of the Town’s ongoing efforts to improve safety, accessibility, and the overall visitor experience at these heavily used public facilities.

The work will be completed in phases, and the schedule is tentative and subject to change based on weather, construction conditions, and project needs.

Tentative Project Phases:

Phase 1: Town Hall Entrance / Perinton Community Center North Entrance
May 18 – July 1

Phase 2: Center (Court) Entrance
July 1 – July 31

Phase 3: Perinton Community Center Main Entrance
August 1 – September 30

During construction, there may be times when certain entrances are temporarily closed or detours are in place. However, at least two front entrances will be open and accessible whenever possible.

Visitors should follow posted exterior and interior detour signage when visiting Town Hall or the Community Center. Parking impacts may also occur during certain phases of the project.

We appreciate the community’s patience as this work is completed. Updates will be shared on this page as needed throughout the project.

Questions or concerns may be directed to Janelle Reed, jreed@perinton.gov or (585) 223-5050.

The Town Hall and Perinton Community Center complex is one of the Town’s most frequently used public facilities. These improvements will replace aging sidewalks and paver areas, improve accessibility and pedestrian circulation, enhance lighting and drainage, and refresh landscaping around the entrances. All improvements will meet current ADA requirements.

Yes. Town Hall and the Perinton Community Center will remain open during construction. Temporary entrance closures and detours may be needed during certain phases, but the Town will work to maintain public access and provide posted signage to help visitors navigate the area.

The project includes new sidewalks and entrance improvements, accessible parking upgrades, lighting improvements, drainage work, landscaping enhancements, and replacement of aging concrete and paver walkways.

The project is supported through a combination of Town capital funding and grant funding, including New York State and federal funding sources.

The sidewalks, entrances, and surrounding infrastructure at the Town Hall and Community Center campus have aged over time and are due for replacement and modernization. The project was identified in the Town’s Capital Improvement Program Plan.
